#WellChildAwards winner Mckenzie, aged 4 – Mckenzie spent three months in intensive care aged two following a virus, which left him paralysed. He has since had to learn to speak, swallow, eat, drink and move again. Mckenzie is there for other children when they are scared or sad, and has helped the Royal Hospital for Children and Young People in Edinburgh with their fundraising efforts. ______________________________________________________ The Duke and Duchess of Sussex met young winners of the 2018 @WellChild Awards, which celebrate the inspiring qualities of some of the country’s seriously ill young people and the dedication of those who go the extra mile to keep children healthy and happy. This evening The Duke and Duchess of Sussex attended the premiere of @Cirquedusoleil’s Totem – raising awareness and funds for @Sentebale’s work supporting vulnerable children and young people affected by HIV in southern Africa. Their Royal Highnesses met some of the cast members ahead of the show before taking their seats. The funds raised tonight will help @Sentebale – a charity founded in 2006 by The Duke with Prince Seeiso of Lesotho – with their work across Lesotho, Botswana and Malawi.

The @bristololdvic1766 is the oldest continuously working theatre in the English speaking world — today The Duke and Duchess of Sussex toured the recently renovated facility, finding out more about the theatre’s unique history and links to the local community. Their Royal Highnesses also dropped in on a workshop attended by local school children, part of the Old Vic’s outreach programme. #RoyalVisitBristol

The Duke presented Shaun with the Endeavour Fund Henry Worsley Award — swipe to watch Shaun’s story. Shaun Pascoe was diagnosed with Post Traumatic Stress after numerous tours around the world with the @RoyalAirForceUK Medical Emergency Response Team. He has now set up the Forces’ Sailing Charity @TurnToStarboard, providing more than 1200 sailing opportunities to service personnel and veterans. The Endeavour Fund Awards celebrate the achievements of wounded, injured and sick servicemen and women who have taken part in remarkable sporting and adventure challenges over the last year to help with their recovery.

The Duchess of Sussex greets Moroccan officials as Their Royal Highnesses land at Casablanca this evening. This visit, a request of the British Government, is the first official visit to Morocco by Their Royal Highnesses. The Duke and Duchess were welcomed to Morocco by Her Majesty’s Ambassador Thomas Reilly and his wife, Leah – before The Duke of Sussex inspected a Guard of Honour and Their Royal Highnesses were introduced to The Crown Prince of Morocco, Prince Moulay Hassan. During their time here, Their Royal Highnesses will see work being done to promote girl’s education, empower young people and support children from disadvantaged backgrounds. They will also meet some of the country’s young entrepreneurs who are shaping modern Morocco. 📷 1+3: PA

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex are greeted by the daughters of the British Ambassador, @reillytsa, at their residence for a reception this evening. Inside The Duke and Duchess received a traditional rose water welcome before meeting guests. The reception bought together people from various sectors of Moroccan society. The Duke and Duchess met disabled athletes, military representatives, influential Moroccan women and social entrepreneurs. #RoyalVisitMorocco

Their Royal Highnesses see more of the vibrant Moroccan culture – joining a cooking demonstration with Chef Moha and children, who were cooking traditional dishes. Many of the children are from underprivileged backgrounds, and are part of a scheme to help open up the restaurant industry to young people. What an incredibly special surprise the grassroots led #globalsussexbabyshower was last Sunday! The Duke and Duchess of Sussex are immensely grateful for the outpouring of love and support in anticipation of the birth of their first child. In lieu of sending gifts, the couple have long planned to encourage members of the public to make donations to select charities for children and parents in need.
